Who We Are

The mission of Peloquin Pilgrimages is to renew the pilgrim spirit in the Catholic Church.

We live in an aimless and overstimulated world that frequently neglects divinity-- we rush from activity to activity and worry about situations that we have little to no control over, from world politics to our jobs and families. People with a pilgrim spirit view this world as it is: a passing thing. In the pilgrim spirit, people seek to find the peace and joy that only God offers in this life. For them, to see or experience beauty is so much more than merely sensing an object that elicits an emotive response. They realize that nothing in this world ultimately satisfies them, and that God uses things in this world for nothing less than to lead them to Himself. As Augustine once said, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in you, O Lord."

At Peloquin Pilgrimages, we help people to discover their pilgrim spirit as they join us on pilgrimage. Rather than frantically moving from site to site to devour as much as possible, we move at a peaceful pace and give time for pilgrims to truly savor not only the beauty, but the story of every site. What separates us from other pilgrimage companies is that we focus less on the architecture and history, and more on the real stories that inspired the sites we see today, because these stories are our story. As members of the mystical body of Christ, the stories of every site are not simply cool anecdotes. Rather, they are the stories of our spiritual family members who continually pray for us and invite us to share the life that they once had: a short pilgrimage that leads to the heavenly homeland.
Our Story
While I was on pilgrimage in the Holy Land in 2021, I sat listening to the modern history of Palestine thinking, "This is interesting, but I didn't come here to receive a history lesson about modern Palestine. I came here to encounter God in these amazing sites."

After going on two such pilgrimages where the tour operators seemed to lack a pilgrim spirit, I began taking people on pilgrimages myself. After practicing with family and friends, I lead my first pilgrimage as a business in February of 2025.
With the help of my sister, we learned how to curate an individualized and life changing experience for each pilgrimage. All we did was plan an itinerary and help the pilgrims understand the spiritual relevance of the sites. The Holy Spirit did the rest.

I believe that the Holy Spirit works in any heart that is willing to listen, and I want to give more people the opportunity to encounter God through pilgrimages.
